Our story begins in 2011 at Googleland in California. A modest dinner was turned romantic by an evening full of bluegrass and nunchuks. We later went on to discover that we actually attended the same middle school in Toronto (though at different times). Fate had a plan for us. A month later on our first monthaversary together reaffirmed our suspicions of true love, when we coincidentally got each other surprise Chinese tea sets from the same fine tea store.

After three years of endless love and adventure, our story took an unexpected twist one day. Nancy's return flight from Calgary did not result in an easy car ride home and a simple dinner as promised. Instead, she was tricked into accepting a limo ride from a strange man and getting charmed with fine champagne by her unexpectedly sharp-dressed boyfriend. before she figured out what was going on, she ended up on the beautiful Treasure Island with a big heart-shaped rock on her finger.
